Childcare BrigadeFIREPROOF is an action-packed love story about a firefighter, his wife ... and a marriage worth rescuing! Of course, all marriages are worth rescuing ... and our prayer is that FIREPROOF will have an impact on couples throughout the country.
For that to happen, however, couples have to see the movie. And if you have children in elementary school or younger, you might not be able to remember the last movie you saw that didn't have cartoon characters!
That's why childcare and babysitting will play a key role in the success of FIREPROOF ... and your FIREPROOF Action Squad. Here are some ways you can help others (and they can help you) see the movie when it's in theaters. It will take a little effort and some planning ... but it will be well worth it on many levels!
Get Creative
Kids need their parents to see this movie ... do whatever you can to help make that happen!
- Youth Ministry Fundraiser: Have a fun game night and charge a small per-child fee as a ministry or missions fundraiser. Or make it a Youth Ministry service night and provide childcare for free.
- Children's Ministry/Sunday School: Host a one-night version of your children's ministry as a community outreach.
- Date Night Swap: You watch your friends' kids on Friday, and they watch yours on Saturday.
- Fill the Nest: Empty nesters can watch their younger friends' children.
- Small Groups: Have half the group go on Friday and the other half go on Saturday. Makes for a great weekend with friends for the parents ... and the kids!
- Community Service: Many high schools require community service hours for their students. Work to make a special childcare evening part of that requirement.
- Service Clubs: Partner with local Key Club or Girl Scouts babysitting club to utilize their services
- Matinee Showings: Let the kids spend an afternoon at the park ... first showing with one set of parents and the second with the other!
