Making It HappenIf you have already decided to host an Action Squad, here are quick steps for purchasing your large block of tickets:
- Find a theater in your area (If it’s not playing within 30 minutes of your town, click here).
- Contact the manager about buying tickets (see tips below).
- Purchase your tickets directly from the theater.
- Begin selling or distributing tickets to your group.
If you are still considering organizing a FIREPROOF Action Squad, there are four key elements you and your team will focus on:
OWN
For a FIREPROOF Action Squad to have its widest possible impact, a person or an organization must take ownership. What does that look like?
It starts with choosing the type of Action Squad you will form. Begin by finding out where FIREPROOF is playing. FireprooftheMovie.com is your best source for information-be sure to register for updates for the latest information.
If the movie is already coming to your town, you'll want to think through how many show times you can fill. If it's not coming, you'll want to work to bring it to your town. Download this document on Action Squad types.
Next, submit your FIREPROOF Action Squad agreement to Provident Films and begin working with your representative to secure the theater for your Action Squad. While you will be working directly with a Provident Films team member, you will also be interacting with the selected theater to actually purchase the tickets and work through potential group ticket discounts.
An Action Squad is an involved process, but as with any worthwhile endeavor, a team approach can make it manageable. Just like fire stations have committed teams, you may want the following Action Squad members:
- Captain ... to lead the charge
- Lieutenant ... to handle the administrative leadership
- 3-10 Squad Members ... to help out as needed, especially on opening weekend ... have at least one person focusing on Childcare Brigade
- Prayer Team ... prepare your fields for rain with a committed prayer team (by the way, Sherwood Pictures is supported by the 24/7 prayer ministry of Sherwood Baptist Church!)

FIREPROOF Action Squads can increase their scope and impact by joining forces with churches, ministries, and organizations committed to helping marriages in your community. Tap into existing networks and help build new ones as you work together to see lives and marriages touched by this film.
As you get closer to the movie's opening, be sure to use the Action Squad Roster to help you keep track of which groups will own the different weekend show times.
A key connection point is childcare. Kids need their parents to see FIREPROOF, but parents with young kids will have trouble making it to the movie theater. That's why we recommend a Childcare Brigade. By connecting parents with a trustworthy childcare option, they will have an even great appreciation for your Action Squad.

INVITE
A key element of Action Squads is providing the opportunity to reach a wide audience with the heartfelt, marriage-focused story of FIREPROOF. With action for him and a love story for her, FIREPROOF makes for a great date night during opening weekend.
Having hundreds of tickets in hand, your Action Squad can invite friends, family, neighbors, employees, firefighters, military personnel, small groups, and others to FIREPROOF. Be sure to also invite your youth ministry to serve couples by providing childcare so they can see the film.
You can also expand your Action Squad by hosting screenings or showing clips to other organizations so they can get excited about the film as well. Your Provident Films representative can help make that happen.
