Purchasing Large Blocks of Tickets
Going to the movies has always been a communal experience ... even if you don't know the majority of the people with you. The large-group aspect is enhanced when it's a film like FIREPROOF. Churches, ministries, businesses, and other groups are jumping at the chance to see this film.

By purchasing large blocks of tickets, you are helping build the case that people will support faith-filled movies at theaters. Now is a great time to purchase your group’s tickets.

Quick Steps to Purchase Your Large Block of Tickets
  1. Find a theater in your area (If it’s not playing within 30 minutes of your town, click here).
  2. Contact the manager about buying tickets (see tips below).
  3. Purchase your tickets directly from the theater.
  4. Begin selling or distributing tickets to your group.

Tips for Large-Block Ticket Purchases
If you are preparing to purchase a large block of tickets, it's important to understand that the exhibition industry (the movie-theater business) is operated in a unique manner. Not only do different theater chains (known as circuits) have different group policies, oftentimes, individual theaters' policies differ within a circuit.

Here are some tips that will help you get the most out of your large-block ticket purchase:
  • Personally go to your local theater where FIREPROOF will be opening and talk to the theater manager. An afternoon in the middle of the week would be ideal since fewer moviegoers attend at that time. An in-person visit is important because phone numbers for local theaters often allow you access only to show times, not actual people.
  • Ask for the best large-block ticket price the theater offers. Unlike some other entertainment industries (such as Christian concerts), group discounts are not always available in the exhibition industry. And because theaters are occasionally rented out by corporations for training events, some circuits will charge an additional rental fee for their theaters on top of the ticket price. By requesting the best ticket price, you can ensure that when you purchase a large percentage of the tickets for a show time, you will be able to do so without being charged an extra fee. And, some local theaters and circuits do offer group discounts.
  • You can resell the tickets to the people in your group at full price or a discounted price, or you can give the tickets away. It's your decision. Many churches are providing four tickets for the price of two so that couples from the church can invite another couple to experience the movie with them.
  • If you are an official Action Squad that has completed and returned a formal application to Provident Films, your Action Squad representative is available to help talk through any roadblocks you're facing as you attempt to purchase tickets.
Come the weekend of September 26, we believe the effort you are making to purchase a large block of tickets to see FIREPROOF will be well rewarded at the theater!
